Translated from the original Japanese, the word Reiki literally means Universal (Rei) Life Force (Ki), that which we often refer to as Chi or Prana. The life force energy of Reiki is believed to run through everything and everyone and anyone can learn how to harness this vital energy for healing. We all already have within us what we need to heal ourselves and others, we just need to tune in and awaken our senses to the subtle energies around and within us.
Why should you learn Reiki?
Anyone and everyone can learn Reiki, and in fact, with Reiki, it is not us that does the healing, it is the divine life force energy of Reiki itself. We merely act as a vessel, a translator, a conduit for this incredible force. So we never deplete our own energy and in fact recharge and heal every time we give a healing to another. It really is magical!
Reiki heals the auric body which is linked via our chakras to our physical, emotional and mental selves. It treats the root cause of what is going on energetically within the body and has many benefits, which you’ll learn about on the Level 1 course. Reiki is an intelligent energy and knows exactly where to go for the recipients healing and highest good. It is a very powerful, yet gentle force made of only the purest and lightest energy.
